Spend the morning with Brooke Munro and learn to make your very own string produce bag from 100% Nepalese hemp. These bags are perfect for collecting your own garden produce, for visits to farmers markets or simply looking fabulous around the home.
First you will learn to make cord using the hemp as well as a few locally sourced and prepared plant fibres. This will be followed by building the body of your bag using differing string bag techniques, similar to those used for knotless netting.
All tools and materials (including the hemp string) for this class will be supplied and included in the ticket price.
During the class you will enjoy:
Moonacres morning tea with bottomless tea & coffee, and a glass of Prosecco
In this class you will learn:
how to make cord from hemp or other plant fibres
different string bag techniques and artistry
a range of tips from Brooke to develop your knowledge of weaving techniques and the use of plant fibres
The class runs from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
